Rapamycin is a bacterial by-product from soil which is a protein kinase – this enables it to help with cell growth, proliferation and survival. The effects of Rapamycin have founded the term mTOR (mammalian target of Rapamycin) as it is a mTOR inhibitor).
Studies have also shown Rapamycin to have senolytic effects – this means it may help to remove dead (senescent) cells from the body. This aids anti-aging, especially in the skin.
