Also of interest, is that when a bear eats a salmon (for example), it only eats the head because the brain is high in omega 6 and it then tosses the rest of the fish (high in omega 3) away!
Fish oils are also renowned from going rancid quickly and when you think about it the answer is obvious. Cold water fish- the source of regular omega 3 supplements- live in a cold environment, one that is way colder than the open air environment where humans and plants live. Therefore it becomes apparent that oils from cold water fish start to go rancid the moment they are extracted from their environment, whereas plants do not suffer from this negative reaction.

It is also interesting to note that while fish oil and krill oil are animal-derived and contain cholesterol, (which may very well have a damaged structure due to processing), cold-pressed, plant-derived EFA oils contain no cholesterol at all.
