Help prevent disease with a healthy immune system

The immune system is an incredibly important part of the human body. It is a set of mechanisms designed to protect the body and fight against a vast array of harmful, foreign bacteria. In modern society, our immune systems have much to cope with, as pathogens are continually adapting, changing and challenging it.

Disorders in the immune system can cause disease. A weakened immune system can result in recurrent infections, while a hyperactive immune system can result in autoimmune diseases like Rheumatoid arthritis, Type I diabetes and Lupus.

A strong, healthy immune system is therefore our last defense against all manner of diseases.

What is Biostim?

Biostim is a powerful and effective immune system stimulator that aids the body in the fight against bacterial, fungal and viral infections. It contains Glycoprotein, extracted from the Klebsiella pneumoniae bacteria, and increases the levels of white blood cells in the body. It has been sold in France since 1982. To date, it has been routinely used to treat chronic bronchitis, and as an immune system booster for cancer patients.

Biostim also stimulates cells called phagocytes, which can attract and destroy any foreign organisms that may be trying to invade the body. When using Biostim, the chemical reactions taking place within the phagocytes are increased and the production of interleukin 1 rises (a chemical that forms part of the immune system). As a result, phagocytes can destroy invaders much more easily.

A number of European trials were conducted on Biostim and cited in varying editions of the International Congress of Immunology. In one such study, 19 people, treated with Biostim over 7 days, showed significant improvement in cellular immunity.

Another study on blood cell function was conducted with 20 people suffering chronic bronchitis. The evaluation was made before and then following a 3 month course, where Biostim was administered for one week, followed by a week of no treatment. Those in the Biostim group demonstrated an improvement in their blood cells ability to overwhelm bacteria by an incredible 120%.

Four further trials were conducted with individuals suffering lung infections. Results showed a reduction in the number and duration of infections, thereby reducing the need for, and number of, antibiotics needed. GI 12/27/2007
