Tackle Anxiety without drowsiness

If you are currently using an anti-anxiety drug and suffering drowsiness, it may be time to consider using Picamilone.  It is a mild psycho-stimulant derived from both gamma-amino-butyric acid (GABA) and nicotinic acid.  While it is most commonly used to combat anxiety, research has shown that it acts as a mild stimulant and anti-depressive.  In fact, its ability to increase intracranial blood circulation has seen it used increasingly to treat a variety of conditions.

What makes Picamilone a unique drug is its ability to rapidly cross the blood-brain barrier, and counteract stress and anxiety, without inducing a sedative action.  Russian studies have compared Picamilone with other psycho-stimulant drugs including, Phenazepam, Diazepam, Vinpocetine, Xanthinol Nicotinate, and Papaverine.  Trials noted that when using Picamilone, patients’ reported significantly less giddiness and tremor, and did not experience muscle relaxation, lethargy or drowsiness, side-effects that are commonplace with traditional tranquilizing drugs.  Further Russian studies cited improvements in patients with mild to moderate memory impairment, as well as those suffering emotional problems, and difficulties with hearing and speech.

Picamilone is also used to treat a wide variety of other conditions.  It is commonly used to restore mental and physical fitness following a trauma, and has successfully treated simple forms of migraine headache.  It is effective in treating patients with neurotic disorders that manifest in anxiety, fear, and emotional instability.  It is also being used to treat alcoholism and acute alcoholic intoxication.

Clinical studies have shown that Picamilone may be beneficial in treating primary open glaucoma, diseases of the retina, and the optic nerve.

Picamilone is a very low toxicity drug and side-effects are uncommon.  It is unwise, however, to combine high doses of Picamilone with other vasodilators like Ginkgo Biloba or Vinpocetine. Click here for further information on Picamilone
