 Stablon keeps you calm without
being drowsyStablon is a novel serotonin enhancer that produces fewer side effects than common anti-depressants Stablon is used as an anti-depressant. It improves the availability of the calming neurotransmitter serotonin. But rather than blocking the uptake of serotonin in the manner of other anti-depressants like Prozac® or Paxil®, Stablon actually increases the uptake of serotonin. It, as yet, has not been clearly defined precisely why Stablon produces the same effect as these SSRI anti-depressants, whilst apparently acting in the opposite way. But Stablon has attracted the interest of physicians because of one important difference from the common, widely used anti-depressants – certain side-effects are not present when Stablon is used. In particular, Stablon is not known to interfere with the libido/sexual appetite and does not result in drowsiness in the majority of cases. Dosages:
Typical dosages are 12.5mg two or three times daily. Caution:
Like most anti-depressants, Stablon could interfere with other anti-depressants, particularly MAO inhibitors (including Gerovital-H3) and other SSRIs such as Prozac®. Therefore, if you intend to combine Stablon with any other anti-depressants, you must only do so under the guidance of a physician. |
